Pacific Poker
Part of 888.com which also owns CasinoOnNet.com, PacificPoker is an established and respected poker website.

Getting Started(Go to the PacificPoker Site)
Players can either play a Java version of their games (playing directly through their web browser) or with a software download. While the software does appear to load in Internet Explorer with some slight display errors, it doesn't appear to work with Firefox. Installing the software is easy although some complaints have been heard about the speed in which the software downloads.

Games
Pacific offers a small mix of games including:

  • Texas Hold'em
  • Omaha
  • Omaha Hi / Low
  • 7 Card Stud
  • 7 Card Stud Hi / Low
Tournaments/Events
Pacific offers a decent variety of tournaments both as major monthly events and smaller daily satellites.

Promotions
Besides offering a bonus with your first cash deposit, Pacific also pays bonuses when you refer others to play at their site. There is little chance that you'll forget this as a popup window reminds you every time you close their playing software.

Rake/Pricing
As do other poker sites, Pacific rakes a fee off of every pot that is played. This amount ranges from between $0.03 and $5.00 depending on the number of players, table limit and pot size. Tournament fees are also collected and are posted on their website for each tournament they offer.

Pacific Poker is much better than you rated it due to the fact that it is realistic poker. You do not leave this site thinking that something suspicious happened in a hand that you played... On Party Poker you may lose to four of a kind to a higher four of a kind.
